Deputy Chief Executive, Pūmanawa Tāngata| People & Capability Group at the Civil Aviation Authority

Andrea Cooke is currently the Deputy Chief Executive, Pūmanawa Tāngata| People & Capability Group at the Civil Aviation Authority. Her role includes oversight for people-focused support and enabling services for all 1700 CAA and Aviation Security staff at offices and airports across New Zealand.

Andrea began her career as an Officer in the New Zealand Police Service where she served for 17 years before moving into human resources, with a focus on organisational development and culture change. She’s since built a people-focused career in HR, people capability and change management with recent roles at Immigration New Zealand, The Department of Internal Affairs, Oranga Tamariki. Andrea is a mum of two kids who have flown the coop and are at university studying.
