  • Member of the management board of Tauranga Airport after it exited the Joint Venture Airport Scheme from 1998 to 2004.
  • Taught airport design and operation courses for Massey University School of Aviation from 2010 – 2016 while completing a PhD titled The Development and Performance of Airports in New Zealand as Commercial Entities.
  • Lecturer and Programme Manager for RMIT University, Melbourne, 2017-2021 teaching airport related courses and supervising airport related research.
  • Currently an Honorary Professor within the aviation team at RMIT University.
  • Member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Airport Management, which is published in conjunction with Airports Council International.
  • Member of the Governance Group of JNP Aviation Training, a private training establishment providing airport and other aviation related tertiary education.
