George Leidig

Head of Airports | Downer

George Leidig has over 30 years industry experience and has fulfilled both delivery and governance roles on numerous airport projects. As Downer’s Head of Airports, George leads our market-facing aviation capability across our Transport & Infrastructure (T&I) business, supporting our Operational GMs in T&I Australia and New Zealand (including our Pacific operations). With his inherent focus on both safety and innovation, George challenges and supports our teams to continue to keep at the forefront of safety solutions and performance. In this session he will explore the unique technical and logistical aspects of delivering the Queenstown EMAS project in a live operational setting, sharing key insights and lessons learned from the field.
